My pineapple is growing very slowly, but I've been working on it when I get the chance. One of those chances was a few free minutes before an appointment last night. I was knitting along and found that my beads were getting into my fingers. There was a knot in the thread that the beads couldn't slide over. Cut thread, restring beads, join in the new piece. That's the second discontinuity I've found in this spool of thread. The one I used for the miser's purse did not have this problem. I hope that's the last of the difficulty.
On another knitting topic, I ran across a knitting stitch I've never seen in a pattern I was reading this morning - knit five together. I'm not quite sure how you would accomplish that. Slip three, knit two together, pass the slipped stitches over?

Date: 2016-09-08 09:05 pm (UTC)I've seen at least one vintage lace pattern that had a knit 5 together. I assumed it was done the normal way and would just be really difficult to do. But I know very little about knitting, so take my knitting thought with several grains of salt.
