Beach Bag Progress

I finished the knitting on the bathing bag and blocked it.



I seamed it and started the edging on the top but don't have a newer picture. I'm concerned that I may run out of the orange yarn. It's the one that is supposed to be used for the handle and the tassels as well as the edging around the top. We shall see.

Is it like bobbin chicken with yarn? Tassels look like small things that take more yarn than would appear.

Tassels do take a fair bit of yarn. The pattern calls for 50-strand tassels, which seems like it will look silly, but I’m not sure I’ll even have enough for anemic tassels. I’ll know more after I make the handle tonight.

I didn't have enough. Once I finished the edging, I only had two thirds of what I need for the handle so I'll get another ball. If it had just been a question of tassels, I might have seen what I could do with the brown, but I do want the handle to match the edging like the pattern says.
