Half-Stays

My 1790's stays are about half-complete. The eyelets and boning are finished, and I've sewn the pieces together on one side. I might finish assembling the pieces on the other side tonight, or I might give my fingers a break and cut the shorts for my playsuit and the lining for these stays tonight. We'll see. The goal is to be binding them at the Regency Society's sewing day on Saturday.



I'm also making good progress on my latest pinball project - I'm more than halfway through the first side. Not bad, considering I only started it on Saturday.

Thanks. The boning pattern is taken directly from the pattern, which is the 1790's pattern on page 44 of Corsets and Crinolines. We'll see how it looks once I've got everything sewn together and can try them on again. The mock-up looked good, but I didn't really bone it.

I thought those pattern shapes looked familiar. I don't think it's one I've seen made up very often. Looking forward to see how yours turns out!

I don't know that I've seen a version made up unless Jen made one, but that's not going to stop me.
