Finished Garters

They were just a little filler project, but I finished knitting a new pair of garters. They're the same old pattern from Godey's that everyone has done (and I've done twice before myself), but it never hurts to have more garters.



I was sloppy about color changes, but I really don't care. I mean, they're garters.

These are adorable! Between these and the amazing pinball, you're really making me wish I knew how to knit! A friend of mine gave me a pair like these, but I have no clue how to use them... How do they stay tight enough??

You put the tasseled end through the loop then loop it back under the straight part from bottom to top. That makes a new loop, and you pull the tasseled end through it. You have to put tension on the new loop as you tighten the knot or they will get too loose, but it's actually more easily done than said. It's the same way that you tie a cord folded in half around your waist as a belt (i.e. like an alter boy), if that helps. There's probably a name for the knot, but I don't know what it is.
