I'm still working exclusively on my 1868 knitted corset, but I made good progress this week. I'm through the first hip gore on the second half of the corset. Those eighty plain rows seemed interminable, but they did terminate. My longest plain stretch now is only thirty-one rows, and I'm a third of the way through that.

Much admiration for all the hard work you are doing! I can't wrap my head around knitting-- and a corset? Wow!

If you can once grasp how knitting works, it's great. It's the only thing I can do while riding in a car. And I can do it while reading, as long as the book stays open.

The hardest part about this corset was figuring out the pattern. Nineteenth century patterns can be a bit of a pain to decipher.
