Long Time in the Stash

I finished a small embroidery kit that I've had in the stash for ages. It's copyright 1999, and I got it on clearance sometime while I was in college. That's been awhile.

I pulled it out in September and started taking it to the sewing circle. I didn't work on it except at the sewing circles, and last weekend I finished it.



It came out well, and it's good to have another thing that's nearly 20 years old out of the stash. Now I'm down to only two embroidery/cross-stitch kits that have been in my stash for more than a decade. I started one of those this week. Then there are the three I got for Christmas last year...

Thank you. I was thinking I'd frame it and hang it on the wall, but now that you ask, I'm wondering if there's a use for it as a panel on a reticule or purse.

I think I started trying to work down the cross-stitch stash the summer of 2017 so it's taken a few years to work my way through it, but I'm getting close.

Thanks! Nothing in the fabric stash has been there anything like 20 years, but I'm trying really hard not to buy anything right now so I can work that down a bit too.
