Worsted Weight Woes
Apr. 29th, 2021 05:37 pmDue to a postal service snafu, I ended up with double the yarn I ordered for the dark green cable knit cardigan I made last fall/winter. Then the sweater ended up taking only 2/3 of the yarn the pattern called for. That left me with about 24 50g balls of dark green worsted weight wool left over. That's a lot of yarn.
I need to figure out what to do with it. The only things I can think of to do with worsted weight yarn are make an afghan or make a heavy cardigan. Maybe I could do a shawl with it. There's just not a lot of call for super heavy yarns in period stuff, and I like to use period patterns as much as possible. I also don't need another dark green heavy sweater.
I need to get this stuff out of my stash so I need to find something to do with it.
ETA: I guess there is another option - I could sell or donate it.
