New Pinball

I finished my new pinball last night. It's made with silk sewing thread, wool roving, heavy cardboard, and silk satin ribbon. I am very proud of myself for remembering to put something in one of the pictures for scale.







These are fun to make, but now I have two and have given one to all my close friends so who knows when I'll make the next one?

Wow, pretty! What size needles did you use?

Thank you. They're size 6/0 (0.7mm). They're so flexible that they feel different to knit with. Even the 5/0 (1.0mm) are much stiffer.

I finished the first side two or three weeks ago. Last week I had to go out to California for a couple of days, and I did a lot of knitting on the way there and back and while hanging around waiting.

Turned out so pretty. Are they actually used for pins. It seems too nice for pins.

I can't speak for others, but I use mine for pins. I haven't noticed them damaging my old one, and I only made this one because I made my first one really flat and wanted a more ball-like one...and I love blue.
