Exponentially Increasing
Feb. 8th, 2019 05:34 amI'm starting a beaded knitted purse/bag from a pattern published in 1924. I realized that the first thing I knit with beads took a couple of hundred beads, the second thing took a couple of thousand beads, and this is taking a couple of tens of thousands of beads. That's an order of magnitude increase for each project. The progression has to stop, though, because there is no way I'm stringing a couple of hundred thousand beads. I've been working on this project for two weeks, and I still haven't even cast on.
This is what 23,500 beads strung on silk cord looks like.

It stretches across the house and back.
