I finished my Christmas cards. I'm usually pretty good about thinking about math, but apparently I wasn't thinking when I bought my cards.

Before going to the store: "There are sixty or seventy people on my list so I need four boxes."
In the store: "Oh, these look good."
After doing them: "I have 2.5 boxes leftover. I guess I didn't account for some of the boxes having 40 cards instead of 15 or 20..."

But they're done and nearly all in the mail.

Now I guess we should decorate the house for Christmas. And I think there are plans to bake cookies this weekend.

I don't really want to do the Christmas meme, but I do have a couple of Christmas wishes that I'm going to tack on here.

1) Introductions to historic costumers in the Tucson, AZ area. We moved this summer, and I don't know anyone. If you know someone who lives in the area - or even the Phoenix area - I'd love to be introduced.

2) Information about costume events in the area. I found an English country dance ball to go to and have a few leads, but if you know anything about places to wear costumes around Tucson or events to go to, I'd love to hear about them.

3) I want to make an 1860's bonnet this year, but I absolutely do not want to trim it. I don't mind making and covering frames, but I loathe trimming them. When it comes to sewing, I am definitely a technician rather than an artist. If someone would trim my bonnet for me, I would be thrilled. (That would mean both selecting and attaching trim.)

Hubby was stationed at Ft Huachuca (Sierra Vista) so I've spent some time in Tuscon. Never explored much on the costuming side down there. Keep looking, we're like bad pennies! ;)
