After E attended the party with me in December, she told me she'd like to go to more events so I told her I'd make her a dress and that she could select fabric with guidance. The fabric she picked seemed fairly 1830's or 1840's to me so I made her an 1830's dress. That also required a petticoat, which I finished yesterday. The cording may be a pain in the neck, but it really is indispensible. I can't wait to try it on her with her dress tonight and see what it does for the look.

It's got a dozen cords in the skirt plus a 1.25" tuck that I can let out later on. The back fastens with four little white buttons. It's based on this one at the Met.
