Good Progress
Dec. 5th, 2014 09:21 amI have nearly finished the children's Christmas ornaments. Two are knitted mittens (see the Ravelry page here,) and two are cross-stitched kittens. The knitted ones are finished, and I finished the embroidery on the cross-stitched ones last night, but I'm going to do a little work on the next two before I assemble these so that I can have more fabric in the frame. It really does make working easier when there's fabric wrapped around the bars of the frame.
Then I've also made progress on my 1890's corset. Lots of progress. It looks like a corset, but I decided to wait to take pictures until it's finished. If I'm not missing something, all that's left is putting on a couple of boning channels, binding the edges, and flossing the bones. I know it's still quite a bit, but there's definitely something nice about having it look so much like a corset.
