Timeline

I finished the 1876 corset so I now have a pretty solid timeline of corsetry going from about 1680 to about 1945.



Unless I wear something out, I don't think I'll need to make any more stays or corsets. I would like to replace those Regency short stays some day, though...

Thanks. It is kind of interesting looking at them as a timeline. Obviously, they look better on the body than laid on the floor, but there are still trends.

Thanks. It's been a goal for a long time - any period without having to make a lot of underwear. I'm not quite there yet, but having the corsetry done is a huge step in the right direction.

That's amazing! Also, super convenient. You're living the dream having all those foundations on hand for whatever era you want to make dresses! (I'm slowly trying to work my way there.)

Thanks. That was the goal. It's nice to be in a place where I can make new underwear if I want to but I shouldn't really have to. I mean, there's still underwear I need, but corsets are the hardest part.
