My stocking is 5" long!

Goldenrod 18th Century Stocking Progress-10/21/16 (5")

It's a darker goldenrod color than it looks in the picture. The line running down the stocking is the imitation seam, which is useful for tracking when you've finished a row and where to make the decreases.

I like knitting stockings.

Looks fabulous! Knit stockings intimidate me. Plus I picture finishing one and never doing the second.

It's so pretty. And such tiny stitching!

Apparently, that's a thing that happens to a lot of people - Second Sock Syndrome. I haven't had a problem with it, though I'll admit it's a trifle demoralizing when you only have half an inch of stocking after having finished the first one.

Thank you. It's 14 stitches to the inch and 20 rows to the inch. There will be a lot of stitches in these!

Thank you. It's pretty tight knitting since it's fingering weight yarn on 0000 needles so it does seem to give nice, even stitches. It makes a very firm fabric.
