I finished the twelfth page of the "Street Scene" today.



Here's what the bottom half looks like since it's all crumpled under the frame in the picture.

I finished the stocking for my daughter yesterday.



We are both pleased with how it turned out. I'm also pleased that it is finished well before it's time to put up the Christmas decorations.

As much as I enjoy cross-stitching, I'm ready to be working on something else. In a week or so I'll resume alternating days between the "Street Scene" cross-stitch and other projects.

I've gotten up to the very top and now just have to fill in gaps from his beard up to the top. I think it will only be a couple more weeks, but that could be overly optimistic.

I finished the toe of my daughter's stocking yesterday so the bottom half is finished. I've started the top half. There's less unworked fabric in the top than the bottom.

Here's week one on the "Santa's Journey Stocking"



Even knowing what it is, it's hard to see so far.

It's the weekend, and I have goals.

1. I finished knitting the second sleeve of the red shell to go with the cabled sweater I made earlier this year. I'd like to get that made up this weekend.
2. I finished the cross-stitching and started the outlining on my daughter's Christmas stocking. I'd like to get that finished this weekend and sew up the stocking.
3. A couple of weeks ago when it was nice out, we started putting together a rack to go over the garage door. Then it got hot again. This weekend is supposed to be in the 80's so I'd like to get it finished.
4. Now that the knitting is finished on the red sweater, it's time to start the 1901 bicycling sweater. I cast on a swatch last night and would like to finish that, decide which needles I want, and cast it on.
5. I've been working on a birthday present for my daughter. She'll be gone all day Saturday at a marching contest so I'm hoping to get about another quarter of it finished.

I don't know that I'll do all that because I also have errands to run and a house to have ready for company next week and more trim in the living room that I want to paint.

If by any chance I get through all of the work and the stated goals, it would be great to start the Christmas stocking for my second daughter.

I need two pictures because I finished the toe and moved up to the top section of the stocking. There's a fair bit of unworked fabric around the toe so it will be more rounded when the stocking is made up.

I finished a quadrant of the “Snowman Gathering Stocking” today. I’m not sure whether you can fairly call it a quadrant when the piece is not at all rectangular, but I don’t have a better term.

I spent a lot of time cross-stitching this weekend again. It's too hot to want to go out a lot. At least it's good for cross-stitching.
