Victorian-Style Coin Purse

I made the dice pattern coin purse recently and liked it pretty well, but I found myself needing another small pouch and decided to make one up along those lines. I had intended to do the crochet edging as with the last one, but I knit this one on smaller needles and couldn't get the hook through the edge stitches easily. After five failed attempts, the crochet edging was abandoned. The alphabet is taken from an issue of "Weldon's Practical Knitting", though I don't remember which one off the top of my head.





It really is rectangular. In avoiding shadows of the camera, I got some distortion.
