I finished a half-circle skirt a couple of months ago and finally wore it this week. It's from Simplicity 8462. The fabric is a stable knit, probably polyester, that used to be a set of curtains in my daughter's bedroom. I think I shortened it when I used the pattern the first time several years ago.

I made a pair of culottes for my daughter back in the spring from a reprint of a Vogue pattern from 1947. (https://www.etsy.com/listing/898249630/1940s-40s-reproduction-e-pattern-vintage) They went together well and fit my daughter as is. I might make a pair for myself and would have to add a couple of inches through the hip. The fabric is a polyester suiting left over from some pleated skirts from Hallowe'en costumes several years ago when I overbought by accident. They're not well-pressed in the pictures, but I think you get the idea.
