Quick Silly Project

At the middle school band concert, all the flautists had little hats on their flutes. I decided to make one for my high school flautist because I remembered them having them last year. And I remembered that I have a tiny stocking pattern that I've made several times. Flutes have head joints and foot joints so it seemed appropriate. She likes blue so I made her flute a blue hat and sock.



She didn't use them at the concert, but no one else in her band had a hat so I'm not shocked.

The hat doesn't fit super well, but the sock fits perfectly. It reminds me of the worm in the Richard Scarry books with his boot and hat and scarf. Maybe her flute needs a scarf too...

Adorable! I also thought of the worm as soon as soon as you said it, so I think the flute DOES need a scarf ;)
