Another Page

I could have finished the bathing suit by now, but I was in the mood to cross-stitch so cross-stitch I did. I finished the fourth page so I'm 20% finished now.

I didn't have to move the embroidery frame so the picture was taken with the frame covering part of the image.



As a reminder, this is what it looked like after the third page.



I immediately started the fifth page. I'll work on this and/or the swimsuit until Hallowe'en, and then it will be time to make Christmas ornaments for the kids. It seems weird to be doing it so late, but this is the first time we haven't gone on vacation in the fall in years. Ornaments always seem like such a portable project for vacation. It would be good to finish the swimsuit before taking a Christmas hiatus so I guess I should do that this week.

I applaud your determination to work so diligently in greyscale. My eyes would have crossed and I would have wandered away long ago.

He really likes the picture. Once I started it, I did have to explain that this was going to take a very long time. If I continue at the rate I've been going, it'll be about five years from start to finish. That sounds awful, but it's realistic.

So interesting to see it take shape! To me it looks like winter trees and maybe horse legs. I am intrigued.
