New Cross-stitching Project

I started a new cross-stitching piece. It's called "Street Scene." It's going to take a very long time. There are a lot of shades, and it's hard to count. It's so hard to count that I started putting a grid of pins to mark off every ten stitches. That has really helped.

It really doesn't look like much yet, but my husband really liked the image of the finished picture.



I'll definitely be flipping back and forth between this and other projects.

Pins, very smart. I did wonder how you were able to keep such careful track o where each stitch goes.

This is the first time I've used pins to track a grid, but this is the most intricately shaded piece I've ever done too.
