Skirt Catch-up

As always happens in January, I check over what I made last year to see whether I posted everything. As always happens, I found a few things I had omitted.

Here are some skirts I made over the summer and never posted.

Pleated skirts for the girls - no pattern used; they're just pleated rectangles attached to a waistband rectangle. The fabrics are polyester suitings that the girls picked out at JoAnn's.



A wool jersey skirt for myself - the pattern was taken from a blue jersey skirt I bought several years ago and liked. It has 12 sections, but I reduced it to 6.

Nice - wool jersey sounds like a good layer for this weather we have right now.

It's a nice, lightweight wool for summer so not great for the current weather.

Ah - yes - I should clarify. Because I don't have any proper winter clothes right now, I'm just piling on the layers in this type of weather. So stretchy and wool would well work over the other 3 layers I'm currently wearing : )

That makes more sense. Fortunately, I lived in Virginia for several years and still have good heavy clothes from that. I hope you keep warm!
