1930's Bed Jacket Progress
Jul. 27th, 2020 05:24 amI finished knitting the first piece of my 1930's bed jacket Friday and pressed it yesterday.

I'm planning to wear it as a sweater instead of a bed jacket since this pattern doesn't just scream "bed jacket" to me.

The conversion from ounces to grams told me I needed four balls of yarn so I ordered five. The front sections are the smallest pieces, and I used just over one ball of yarn on the first front piece so I'll need six balls for sure, and possibly seven to knit the whole thing. Surprisingly, my missing box of yarn came so I can get the extra easily. They said that if it ever showed up, they'd offer me a discount on purchasing the lot or a return label. I don't know if I can choose to buy just part of it; I guess I'll find out when I call customer service. Most of the yarn in the box is a dark green worsted weight wool for a cable knit cardigan, and I'm not sure I would really want two dark green heavy sweaters. That's the main reason I haven't called yet.
