When I saw the domino patterns in Period Costume for Stage and Screen, I decided that was what my black silk taffeta would become. A few years down the road, and I've started working on it. Right now it looks like a giant garbage bag, but it's a silk garbage bag!
I found out a couple of days ago that Janet Arnold wrote an article on it for Costume. My library doesn't have access to it, but I decided I'd see if I could get it through interlibrary loan. They said it might be a couple of weeks so I've put the project on hold until I hear back. We shall see.
