Regency Navy Silk Faille Reticule
Jul. 4th, 2013 10:31 pmA few weeks before Dress U, I suddenly decided that I really needed a reticule to carry camera and so forth while I wore my Regency gowns. I didn’t expect to have much time to make it so I wanted something simple. I also wanted to use silk.
Sorry I don't have any pictures right now, but I didn't get any at the time. Maybe when I put away my Independence Day things I'll manage to take pictures of it.
( And here's what I did... )
Thoughts after wearing:
My little navy reticule worked reasonably well, but I wasn’t terribly happy with it. The stiff faille didn’t want to gather very tightly at the opening so the reticule didn’t really close. Then the fact that I made it a little small made it contain less than I would really have preferred. Also it just looks sad and plain. Still, it served its purpose, and I can chalk one up to experience.
