So Pretty!

I was going to save this one for a few days, but after blocking my shawl yesterday, I absolutely love it and don't want to wait to share it. It's so pretty. It still needs a lace edging, but even without that, I think it's just lovely.



I am so happy with it.

It's just under four feet in diameter so I need about four yards of lace to edge it. I've got something more than half a yard but less than a whole yard so far after fourteen repeats of the pattern. I'll knit another yard or so then block a chunk to see where I stand.

I've not been working on this lace all week because I was working on the comb bag edging and didn't want to risk confusing the two lace patterns. They're not very similar, but why take the chance? Tonight I finished knitting the comb bag lace so that concern is now past.

So pleased with how this project is coming. AND on top of being beautiful, it's so soft and light and airy.

Thank you. It's a laceweight alpaca yarn - Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud. It's lovely to work with. I know alpaca isn't period, but it's not ridiculously not so so I went with it.
