A Recent Completion
Dec. 20th, 2024 12:55 pmAfter posting a bunch of projects that I finished months ago, here's one that I finished on Monday.

It's a tatted cravat made from a pattern published in Harper's Bazar in 1867 and reprinted in Reconstruction Era Fashions. One nice thing about the pattern is that it called for #60 tatting cotton, and the definitions of thread weights haven't changed so I can be reasonably sure that it came out close to the way it would have come out in 1867. The ribbon would be silk instead of synthetic, but I haven't the foggiest idea where you'd find silk velvet ribbon these days.
