Birthday Presents
Nov. 20th, 2024 07:20 pmMy daughters' favorite holiday is Hallowe'en so when I saw this pattern on
quincy134's Facebook feed last year, I bought it. https://www.snugglymonkey.com/products/pdf-pattern-most-wonderful-time-of-the-year-by-beco-productions
I made two copies as birthday presents.

They're almost the same except I used the dark red for the French knots on this one and purple for the French knots on the other one. That was a deviation from the pattern which suggests using several colors for the French knots, choosing colors that aren't right around each group of knots. I liked the idea of one color so that's what I did.
I also chose not to glue the embroidery to the hoop. After putting it in the hoop (because I used a different hoop to do the actual embroidery), I trimmed the fabric to about an inch around and ran a large gathering stitch then tightened that up and fastened the thread. This way it can be restretched if it ever needs it.
