Georgian Picnic

It was at a new venue this year. This one was lovely and wooded and only ten minutes away from my house, which was particularly convenient because the picnic was the same day that my son had auditions for the middle school region band.
It was lovely to spend some time withjenthompson since I haven't seen her since last year. I had hoped to see her when my daughters went to a marching contest at the high school in her town, but they went to a different contest that weekend so the plan was aborted. It was also nice to spend time with Beth (whose username I have forgotten so I can't link her - she's not active on here anyway so I don't suppose it matters).

I wore a dress I've had for at least ten years. It was nice to wear it again. I've never worn it with the bands over the kerchief instead of the stomacher so that was fun. (I've had the bands almost since I made the dress but never actually worn them.) I definitely like having enough costumes that I can go to a wide assortment of events without having to make anything new.
