Holiday Project

My project for my Christmas vacation (we get the whole week between Christmas and New Year's as holidays) was a 1910's purse that I'm copying from pictures on Etsy.

I did the embroidery and most of the seaming. I'm waiting for linen thread to come in the mail so I can make the fringe and decide exactly what I'm going to do about the handle/strap. The delivery estimate is Monday so I should be able to finish it next week.



This is the one I'm copying, though my colors are a little different. I wanted to use some of the bag of silk threads that nuranar picked up for me at an estate sale at the beginning of the year. My daughter helped me pick the colors.

I'm not ready for my 2023 in review post yet because I'm in arrears in taking pictures of completed projects. Regular readers will not be shocked. This happens every year, though I usually manage to get caught up by the end of the holidays. I think I've got three things that I need to get pictures of, and then I'll be ready to post.
