I finished the shield (aka dickey) for the Eloise dress last night. Having a white collar is a definite improvement. I also shortened my ruffled mid-1910's petticoat since it was a bit long for the dress. My dress is shorter than the pattern image shows, but the skirt and bodice are about the same ratio to each other. Most of the time the drawings have super long legs, but this one doesn't. I looked at a bunch of 1916-17 images, and I think my skirt length is reasonable. I was going to make a new petticoat, but the box of petticoats is already brimming, and I only had to shorten it a couple of inches. The plain one didn't need shortening.

Pictures later. Since company arrives today, it will realistically be after the holidays before I get the pictures.
