Mini-Balls

It's irritating when you go to wind a hank of yarn into a ball and find out that it's in several pieces. Now I have several mini-balls from that hank. I'm close to the end of the first piece of the sweater so I don't expect to need more than one of the mini-balls for this piece, but I'll probably wind another ball before I start the front in hopes that another hank will be in one piece.

This is yarn that I got from the estate of a lovely old lady I knew in Tucson, and I couldn't begin to say how old it is.
