Fastest Picture Ever
Jun. 29th, 2021 05:32 amI finished knitting Saturday, finished pressing and sewing on buttons Sunday, wore it Monday, and got pictures Monday!

This sweater is about as simple as it gets - garter stitch edge, simple eyelet for edge decoration, yarnovers for increasing until you start the sleeves, and stockinet the rest of the way. It took four balls of yarn, but there was some leftover from the fourth ball. The belt was a loss, but I'm happy with the sweater.
I had cast on the Helen sweater Saturday after finishing the knitting on this one. I went down a needle size from recommended as I usually do, but it was coming out too small (there's no gauge given so I didn't swatch) so last night I started over with the US 3 needles that are the recommended needle size. It was really windy, and it was highly amusing watching the tail of the yarn (long tail cast on) streaming out beside me. Good thing it was blowing left to right so that it wasn't in the way!
