...someone (non-costumer, non-reenactor) invites you to a reenactment, and your first reaction is "I don't have anything from 1836! I can't go." Then you spend a minute and a half reviewing what you would need before you realize that you are not going to make a new dress in 36 hours.
On the other hand, I'm happy to say that I think I have or can fudge all the underwear for the 1830's. (I'd have to borrow petticoats from other eras, but I think it could be done.)
Now, that reenactment is probably going to be pretty swampy. We've had a lot of rain this week!
