A week in review
Aug. 19th, 2013 05:34 amThis week I made up the bodice pattern for my 1868 green silk dress. I laid the pattern pieces out roughly on my fabric and was delighted to find that it won't be a squeeze. Gored skirts are wonderful for saving fabric that way - I've only got 4.75 yd and was a bit concerned. I'm hoping to get everything but the sleeves cut tonight. (I haven't checked the sleeve pattern to know if it will fit yet.)
Then I made a lot of knitting progress. I'm halfway through the clocks on the second stocking and therefore just over halfway finished with the second stocking.
I also hit a major milestone with my husband's cross-stitched lady: the bottom half is finished. I only have something like 18,000 more little squares to go.
