1912 Combination Undergarment

I made a 1912 skirt from a Wearing History pattern last week and decided I needed both a longer, straighter petticoat than my 1916 petticoat and a corset cover. Then I was browsing around and found this combination corset cover and petticoat pattern.



I also found someone selling scans of the original pattern sheet from 1912. I didn't want to buy a pattern, but I knew I had a couple of Butterick patterns that had pretty reasonable shapes so I cobbled together my own.



It's made of cotton batiste and has three different kinds of eyelet or lace from my stash on it. That makes me really happy. I'm not usually too excited about lace and the like, but I'm glad I've finally used some of it. Usually I have to buy something to get what would look reasonable, but for this, I think what I had was okay.

I'm hoping to get dressed in my new 1912 stuff this weekend to take pictures.

Thank you. The pink was the lightest ribbon I had other than ivory. I thought it was nice to have just a touch of color since it will be under a lawn waist.
