Another Cat

One of my daughters in her Hallowe'en costume. It really doesn't look like her, but it is indeed she. She's some kind of a jaguar or something; she picked the fabric.

I love seeing these costumes for your kiddos because it is exactly what I best friend and I did for Halloween when we were about that age. I was a polar bear and she was a tiger. Same jumpsuit-type costume with a hood. My grandmother made mine. Good memories! :)

I'm glad to evoke happy memories. My mother made all of our costumes except the year I was in the fourth grade and she traveled too much in the fall to have the time. That year was the only junky costume I ever had so I make my children's costumes every year (except the train last year; that was outside my area of expertise). This year they all wanted to be variations on a theme. I had to grade up the pattern for the girls, though, because I couldn't find a similar pattern in their size - the patterns jumped from a size 8 child to a small adult!
