Two Points

1. Pushing the busk from the 1820's stays between the 1690's stays and my smock solved my center front boning problem. It's almost exactly the right length too so I might not need to get/make a new busk.

2. I assembled my knitted rigolette from an 1860 pattern except for the pom-poms. I'm calling it 60% complete because there are a lot of pom-poms. I'm having trouble getting excited about making about 150 pom-poms. That's a lot of pom-poms.

Thank you.

That's good news about the busk! And the rigolette is so pretty! Best on getting those pom-poms made.

I was so glad about the busk!

I don't enjoy making pom-poms, but I'll get around to it sooner or later.

Adorable!

And in case you didn't know, there is an easy way to make pom poms. I used it on my mariposa and the princess royal scarves.

That's the same way I make them, though I've never actually done it with a board. I just am not looking forward to the sheer volume of them. I think it's 127 1/2" and 24 slightly larger, probably 3/4". Ugh. Stays are much more interesting right now.

That is so adorable! (As is the stand for the head form.) I don't blame you for waiting on the pompoms, though. That IS a lot.

Good to know about the busk! I may see if I can try something like that with my 1780s stays; it does have the partially lace-front, but it's not open as far now after my alterations.

That looks amazing! You always make such unique things-- perfectly! 150 pom poms will look outrageously awesome.
