Quilt Block

I made another late 19th century quilt block right after I finished the beaded purse a few weeks ago.



While I like the way it looks very much, I wouldn't want to make a whole quilt with this pattern. Both this octagon and the square that goes between octagons start with joining eight stitches in the round. I wouldn't want to do that dozens of times.

But no, joining 8 stitches in the round isn't fun at all!

Thank you. I just can't imagine doing it over and over. It only took two or three days to knit this block, and the square is much smaller. Maybe after doing it a dozen times in four or five weeks, it would get easier.
