Cross-stitching Progress

Boring though they may be, it's time for weekly cross-stitching updates.

Week 1:



I knit a few rows of my waistcoat this week, but the vast majority of my needlework time was cross-stitching. I've got a couple of weeks that I expect I'll be working on my waistcoat, but mostly it will be cross-stitching until the new year.

I'm a little torn because I want to see progress on my waistcoat, but I also have these Christmas pictures in the stash. I know I don't want to work on them any other time of year. First world problems - which hobby shall I indulge tonight?

Oh, it's a sleigh and a bunny, I was trying to figure out why a warship was next to a bunny. Read the whole post first THEN identify elements!

My daughter also saw a ship, bit I don't think she tried to resolve the bunny with the ship.

Ha! I saw bunny jumping on waves and then tried to turn it into a reindeer in my head. The magic of partial cross stitch.

That's something I love about cross-stitch - the gradual shift from blobs of color to an identifiable picture.

Thanks. I always assume they bore others, but I like to post at least once a week. At least they're better than knitting updates.
