I sewed the lace edging onto my shawl so it is officially finished. It took nearly four 50g hanks of laceweight yarn and is almost as wide as a queen-sized bed.

You do lose some of the pattern visibility when you fold it in half, but it's still very pretty.

I don't have any evidence that people wore circular shawls folded in half, but it seemed like the most logical way to wear one to me. I don't have to pin it on myself, but the dummy has no arms and has to have it pinned in place.
