I like oval headsize openings because my head is oval. If I had realized the headsize opening was oval when I made my mockup, I'd have reworked the tip to be oval at that point. Now I've decided I don't care enough to put in the effort to recut and rewire and rebind and reattach the tip so I'm going to stick with what I've got.
