Ornaments
I finished this year's crop of Christmas ornaments last night. I had finished the embroidery a few weeks ago but finally got to mounting them yesterday. I might have burned my fingertips trying to get things folded well when they were still too hot from the iron since they're still sore this morning. Oops.
This is the first time that the kids have made any requests about their ornaments. They wanted their instruments. It turns out to be a pain to find good-looking instrument patterns. The clarinet and flute ended up getting excised from larger pieces that I found in a book from the 1990's. I think I would like to do the whole flute piece one day, but that day is not now.
Next year I would like to finish the set I started last year, mostly so I can get that half-kit out of the projects drawer.
