Second Sleeve Done

I finished knitting the second sleeve of my waistcoat yesterday afternoon. For those who don't knit, I thought I'd show you just how much difference blocking/pressing/steaming can make. The sleeve on the left was steamed when I finished it a few months ago, the sleeve on the right is just as it came off the needles yesterday. I tried to flatten it out, but it really wanted to roll.

Steam works wonders

I'll steam it today, and then I should be able to get a picture of the two sleeves that really shows how they're mirror images.

I cast on one of the bodice fronts last night and knit half a dozen rows. While the body is longer than the sleeves, the fronts are narrower than the sleeves so I expect it will feel like it goes faster.

Well that's pretty crazy. Do you have to wait until it's blocked to really know if it'll fit?

What a big difference blocking makes. Can kind of see the pattern reverse. Looking good

That's incredible! It's cool how the pattern really shows the difference.
